Document Strategies 

Document Strategies, Inc. ("DSI") specializes in providing systems and services for converting paper documents to computer-based information and then accessing and managing that information. The developers, systems engineers and production specialists at DSI have a rich background in document imaging, optical character recognition, text-based retrieval, web server development and litigation support.  The overriding focus of the company is a  pervasive philosophy of customer service.

The showcase of DSI's capabilities is the OnePoint Imaging Workstation.  The workstation produces images, searchable text files, and document abstracts on removable CD-ROM's at the rate of up to one box of documents per hour.  It is as easy to use as a paper copier, but uses a state-of-the-art, high-speed, dual-side image scanner coupled with an internal OCR engine running on multiple CPU's that starts the OCR process as soon as the first image is captured.  Rounding out the processing, DSI's DocID™ software creates document abstracts of the scanned documents, with fields like Document Type, Date, Author, Recipient, Subject, and Names-In-Text.

The OnePoint Imaging Workstation permits lawyers and paralegals working on a case to start searching and examining the documents from virtually the start of the case, as the image capture, OCR, and DocID abstracting take place within time frames comparable to merely making paper copies.  No other method of processing documents provides as much information from as early in a case for as little cost.  With a suitable volume commitment by the client, Document Strategies will provide the hardware, software, people, and procedures on-site at the client's office.
